In Europe, the tarpaulin and box bodies of trailers, semi-trailers, and small and large trucks have not undergone many changes in recent decades. In contrast, in Japan, especially in terms of opening and closing, the Wing made it much faster and more convenient for its users thanks to its hinged solution. The smaller Wings are made from tarpaulin, while the larger ones are now made from aluminum sheet in Japan. In the initial period, we started developing and manufacturing trailers under 3.5 tons, as well as flatbed trucks. In classic vans, loading and unloading is done through the rear or right-hand sliding door, which takes a lot of time, reducing work efficiency. In comparison, the tarpaulin sides of winged vans and/or trailers open wide and high to the left and right. That’s why it was named Wing, like a bird with spread wings. It is much easier to load and unload this way than through one or two doors. We recommend it for many areas of logistics, both for everyday use and occasional use. Since its design allows it to be forklifted, we believe that this solution will also be used in the future by those who have so far “”only”” had flatbed designs. According to our surveys so far, people in the construction industry, especially those in the traditional and somewhat cumbersome side opening and closing, did not request a superstructure.
